Project Scope
- Removal 0.50ac area of existing synthetic turf, underlay asphalt, and shale subgrade.
- Construction of 100m new concrete curb at field edge.
- Fine grading of 0.96ac area, including installation of geotextile.
- Installation of over 350m of sub-drainage pipe system.
- Refinish 0.96ac field area, including repairs and erection of guardrails, installation of Sportsedge flexedge rubber curbing, placement of topsoil and sod, and installation of Tufftrack Grass and Gravel Pavers.
- Removal of existing and installation of new backstop tension netting.
Challenges
- Custom fittings required for many existing infrastructure, like the removal of existing backstop netting and welding new engineered supports at great heights for the new tension netting.
- Tight timeline to complete project for June 2021 game day.
