Owner

Alberta born and raised, Mark Anderson is a true Alberta success story!  He has an education in agriculture, business management, and landscape construction.  Mark started in 1987 with a handful of dedicated staff and grew the company to over 250-employee strong today.  He continues to be hands-on with Delta Valley’s day-to-day operations to ensure the highest quality control.  Mark values his relationships with clients and strives to exceed their expectations.

Luke Pickett

General Manager – Operations

Luke Pickett originally hails from England but now calls Edmonton home.  He is an LAT with more than 10 years of progressive experience in construction.  Luke has had the opportunity to work in almost every position at Delta Valley, including estimating and project management, before becoming General Manager of Operations.  With his strong leadership abilities and team work approach, Luke is responsible for Delta Valley’s day-to-day operations and directs all the operations mangers and subcontractors.

Giang Nguyen

Vice President – Business Development & Special Projects

“Fresh off the boat” in the late 80’s,  Giang Nguyen continues to work hard for the “(North) American Dream” as a proud Edmontonian.  Giang obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta and has almost 20 years of progressive experience in construction, engineering, consulting, and land development and brings a fresh perspective to Delta Valley’s operations.  He understands the unique needs of each land development client and aspires to add value through continuous improvements to each project.

Colton Anderson

Co-Owner/Operations Manager

Like father, like son, Colton Anderson is a natural athlete and leader, competing in multiple sports at a high level.  He was immersed in the family business from an early age, getting seat time in all the company equipment and honing his skills as an operator over the years.  Colton works closely with senior management and the operations managers to coordinate many of Delta Valley’s day-to-day activities.

Ali McKenzie

Maintenance/Dispatch Manager

Ali McKenzie is Delta Valley’s Maintenance/Dispatch Manager since 2018.  It goes without saying that Ali is an organized multi-tasker.  She works closely with the Operations Managers to coordinate numerous maintenance crews to manage Delta Valley’s clients ongoing snow removal and landscape maintenance needs.  During Delta Valley’s busy summer landscaping season, Ali organizes the proper crews and resources to ensure the proper maintenance of each developer’s landscape project to achieve prompt CCC/FAC approvals.

Eric Thorn

Operations Manager

As one of Delta Valley’s longest serving employees, Eric Thorn has been with the company for over 30 years and can operate just about every piece of equipment in Delta Valley’s yard.  Eric manages all the crews leaders and heavy equipment operators for the ongoing snow removal of commercial and industrial parking lots for Delta Valley’s south side clients during Edmonton’s winter months.  And as soon as weather permits in the spring, Eric and his crews are then ready to tackle new landscaping projects for Delta Valley’s development clients.

Ian Joyce

Operations Manager

Ian Joyce has over 10 years of progressive experience in landscape construction and was a great addition to Delta Valley’s leadership team in 2018.  Ian is currently pursuing his International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certification.  Ian manages all the crews leaders and heavy equipment operators for the ongoing snow removal of commercial and industrial parking lots for Delta Valley’s north side clients during Edmonton’s winter months.  And as soon as weather permits in the spring, Ian and his crews are then ready to tackle new landscaping projects for Delta Valley’s development clients.

Ray Champagne

Swing Manager

Ray Champagne is one of Delta Valley’s most dedicated employees who contributes significantly to the company’s ongoing success during his 30-year tenure.  As a true team player, Ray happily provides support in any area of operations as required to get the job done for Delta Valley’s clients.

Fred Kozar

Operations Manager, Grading

Fred Kozar has almost 20 years of progressive experience as an operator and a general contractor in multiple trades.  Armed with a solid work ethic and a strong commitment to deliver exceptional services for our clients, Fred is responsible for the day-to-day activities of Delta Valley’s grading operations.  In his spare time, Fred enjoys the acreage life with his wife and son.

Ben White

Operations Manager

Ben White has over 10 years of progressive landscape construction experience.  In his previous employment, Ben had the opportunity to work numerous positions, including seat time in multiple pieces of heavy equipment, managed some high profile projects, and supervised upwards of 30 crew members.   In his spare time, Ben is active in his ward with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was able to put his fluent Spanish to good use by serving a two-year mission in Mexico.  Ben works closely with other Operations Managers on many of Delta Valley’s landscaping projects.

Sarah Holmes

Sarah Holmes obtained her General Arts Degree from Brock University and an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care from Sheridan College, before turning her talents to work in landscaping.  Sarah has over 10 years of progressive landscape construction experience. Working closely with other operations managers, she manages multiple crews for winter snow removal and summer landscaping projects.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys the great outdoors with hikes in the mountains with her two dogs and continues her 29 years of playing competitive hockey.

Trevor Tsaagane

Client Manager

Trevor Tsaagane brings over 11 years of sales and client relationship professional experience from the UK and  joined Delta Valley in 2017 as a Client Manager.  Trevor originally managed the company’s residential portfolio before switching to commercial client management for their ongoing snow removal and lawn maintenance needs.

Angela Olsen

Sales Manager

Angela Olsen brings over 20 years of client relations, administrative, and sales experience to lead Delta Valley’s dedicated team of Client Managers.  She has fostered trusted relationships with many of Edmonton’s largest commercial, industrial, and residential landlords for their ongoing snow removal and lawn maintenance needs. As a busy working mom, Angela still finds time to pursue her PMP certification in her spare time.

Jeff Stevenson

Client Manager

Jeff Stevenson obtained his Diploma in Business Administration from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and has over 17 years of customer service and sales experience that he actively draws upon to manage Delta Valley’s residential and commercial clients.  Jeff grew up in the Edmonton area where he was actively involved with Junior Hockey.  He currently calls Beaumont, Alberta home along with his two kids, and spends much of his free time working on the family hobby farm in Southeast Alberta.  Jeff is still active in Minor Sports through coaching and volunteer work with multiple organizations across Alberta.

Aatif Akbar Khan

Accounting Manager

Aatif Akbar Khan received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from the Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England.  He also obtained the Payroll Professional Program Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.  Aatif has almost 10 years of accounting experience in various industries and received his CPA designation in 2020.  He performs full cycle accounting and payroll, including monthly reconciliations, managing bank deposits, and preparing cheque runs.  Aatif likes to hit the gym in his spare time.

Haley Kozar

Dispatch and Administrative Assistant

Haley Kozar is a multi-tasker who works closely with Delta Valley’s dispatch manager to assist the coordination of various drivers and crews.  She also provides administrative assistance for the senior management team.  Haley ran a day home before joining Delta Valley.

Alison Joyce

Alison has an Office Assistant Diploma (Medical) from Grant MacEwan University and has almost 10 years of administrative and customer service experience in various industries.  Alison is an efficient multi-tasker who provides LMN and fleet support for Delta Valley’s 40+ maintenance crews and sub-contractors.   Additionally, she provides administrative assistance for the senior management team, when required.  Outside of work, Alison is a skilled acoustic guitarist and an avid nature photographer.

Deb Doherty

Deb Doherty obtained her Accounting Diploma and graduated with honours from the Universal Career College in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  She performs full cycle accounting, lease and contract management, and AP/AR.

Outside of work, Deb enjoys time in the kitchen cooking and baking as well as time in the great outdoors gardening.
