Project Scope
- A $4.00MM project to construct a multi-use, artificial-turf sports field and storm water management facility.
- Removal of existing infrastructure, including but not limited to, concrete walks, sports amenities, and storm drainage utilities.
- Topsoil stripping and stockpiling 4,000m3 onsite for landscaping purposes.
- Common excavation for site fills from site and SWMF, and dispose approximately 15,000m3 offsite.
- Installation of drainage infrastructure, including over 450m of storm mains, manholes, catch basins, and culverts.
- Synthetic turf field preparation including installation of over 2,000m French drains, fine grading of subgrade, and placement and compaction of drain rock, and finishing stone.
- Construction of 1,100m of interconnecting concrete walk and asphalt trails to all amenity areas.
- Erection of over 500m of fencing at various heights.
- Installation of shallow utilities for Musco stadium lighting and scoreboards.
- Supply and install additional amenities, including concrete plaza, bleachers, and site furniture.
- Landscaping, including but not limited to, topsoiling, seeding and sodding over 20,000m2 surface, and planting almost 200 trees of various species.
Challenges
- The multi-use, artificial-turf sports field playing surface has a slope of 0.25%, requiring meticulous effort for every scope of construction where the accuracies in measurements are FIFA standards.
